SetUp for Internet Explorer 5.0 for Pioneer Internet Users
The next step in the setup process is setting up an e-mail
account:
Select the option Yes and click on the "Next"
button to continue.
Type in your real name in the Display name box, for
example:
Joe Bloggs
Click on the "Next" button to continue.
Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address
field. For example: userid@pld.com
Click on the "Next" button to continue.
Make sure that the first box on the screen contains POP3.
In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server
box, type in:
mail.pld.com
Similarly, in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box,
type in:
mail.pld.com
Click on the "Next" button to continue.
Enter your username in the Account name field, for example:
jbloggs Also, you need to enter your password into the
Password box. Note that for security reasons your password is displayed as a
series of *'s on the screen. You will not be able to see the actual password
when you type it in.
If you wish, you can click on the box next to Remember
Password to save you from having to type it in every time you check your
e-mail.
Click on the "Next" button to continue.
Click on the "Finish" button to save the Internet
Connection Wizard settings. You have successfully created a Pioneer dial-up
connection and an e-mail account. |
